Serhane apartment is an 80 square meter basement located in an old Lebanese traditional house. The rehabilitation process aimed to upgrade the apartment's functionality and aesthetic appeal by executing several technical activities. The first step involved cladding the new walls with a new layer of material to improve their appearance and reinforce their structural integrity. Additionally, sandblasting was performed to clean and prepare the walls for further rehabilitation work. The next step involved plastering the joints with white mortar to ensure a strong and durable bond between the wall components. MEP works were then executed to upgrade the utilities and enhance the apartment's energy efficiency. Tiling was installed to provide a durable and functional flooring solution. Painting was also performed to enhance the apartment's aesthetic appeal. False ceilings were installed to conceal any unsightly ductwork or wiring and provide a uniform appearance. Wooden and aluminum works were executed to provide a modern and sleek design. Lastly, steel works were installed to create a balustrade and protect the windows from external hazards. The rehabilitation process aimed to restore the apartment to its former glory while ensuring its structural safety and functionality.
