Fayad building, a three-story structure erected in 1955, sustained damages as a result of the Beirut blast that occurred on August 4. In response, Bet el Baraka NGO initiated a rehabilitation process to restore the building's structural integrity and offer free rental accommodations to individuals in need. The rehabilitation works involved a range of technical activities, including concrete repair, painting, tiling, waterproofing, and steel works for the balustrade and windows protection. The concrete repair work aimed to reinforce the building's structural components and ensure their durability and stability. The painting process was executed to enhance the building's appearance and provide a uniform and consistent color scheme. Tiling was installed to provide a functional and durable flooring solution. Waterproofing works were performed to prevent any water infiltration and protect the building's structural components from moisture damage. Lastly, steel works were installed to create a balustrade and protect the windows from external hazards. The rehabilitation process aimed to provide a safe and comfortable living space for individuals in need while restoring the building's functionality and structural safety.
